Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Minto Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and reporting on the financial portfolio of our shareholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cash management, treasury services, financial reporting, and investment planning.
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships with banks, investment managers, and shareholders.
  • Review and recommend revisions to investment strategies to reflect changes in market conditions or shareholder circumstances.
  • Monitor investment performance, assist with asset allocations, and plan investment strategies for excess cash.
  • Support socially responsible investors in aligning their investing strategy with their philanthropic goals.
  • Manage a Junior Financial Analyst, ensuring the preparation of accurate net worth statements, cash flow forecasts, and liquidity reports.
  • Prepare materials for quarterly meetings, including performance reports, market updates, and investment recommendations.
  • Oversee the company's treasury operations, monitoring and reporting on the activity of numerous entities.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor treasury policy and procedures to maximize the security and integrity of operations.
  • Participate in Investment Committee meetings, acting as the secretary, and take minutes at quarterly meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, economics, or finance.
  • CFP designation considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a finance-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a hybrid team environment.
