About this Opportunity:

As a Commercial Specialist within our Commercial Operations organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our innovative solutions. Your expertise in business analysis, commodity trading, logistics, and risk management will be critical in aligning business needs with technological solutions.

In this role, you will act as the key liaison between business collaborators and solution development teams, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable system specifications. Your in-depth knowledge of commodities trading, and logistics will ensure our solutions meet evolving business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

* Actively participate in workshops to help define functional requirements and translate them into specifications for optimal logistics solutions

* Gather solution requirements to develop test cases and user stories, ensuring traceability throughout the process

* Collaborate with multi-functional teams using HPQC and MS Teams to document testing activities, track defects, and drive efficient resolution

* Assist in automating processes to promote standardization, efficiency, and scalability

* Evaluate business and system processes, as well as data flows, to find opportunities for improvement and optimization

* Accurately document and maintain business and system processes, ensuring workflows are clear and up-to-date

* Support the creation of sustainable operational reporting, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and governance

* Develop and maintain comprehensive user guides and training materials for UAT and post release phases

* Assist in the timely and accurate entry and actualization of inventory movements within the Right Angle ETRM system, as needed

* Support system enhancements based on user feedback, development requirements, and application upgrades

* Develop strategies for multi-functional collaboration and asset utilization to drive business process improvements and solutions

* Apply an in-depth understanding of ETRM for all commodities, aligning business requirements with daily operations and reporting needs

Requirements:

* Legally authorized to work in Canada

* Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related field

* Prior experience working on large scale ETRM/SAP system implementation projects with cross-functional business and development partners is desirable

* 12+ years working as a business or scheduling analyst or equivalent with experience working in and supporting commercial commodities including process documentation

* Understanding of Canadian and US refined products and NGL transaction lifecycle with an emphasis on trades, nominations and scheduling, inventory, and risk management

* Knowledge of energy trading and risk management processes across front, middle, and back-office groups at a trading organization operating under an exposure and P&L environment

* Knowledge of Canadian and US refined products pipeline, rail, and truck modes of transport

* Expertise with ETRM systems (most recent Right Angle version is highly preferred)

* Knowledge of SAP functionality

* Experience in the agile software delivery model involving continuous collaboration

* Configuration experience in ETRM/CTRM is highly desirable along with HPQC or JIRA in managing defects

* Good ability to analyze complex information and details, and present findings in a clear concise format. Consistent record of tracking and resolving system defects to support a timely release.

* Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio

* Visual Basic (VBA), SQL, R/Python and Power BI (preferred skills).
