Culinary Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at QILA BAR & Grill. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Operations Management
- Develop and implement efficient systems and procedures to manage food preparation, service, and inventory.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and train a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure that staff are meeting our high standards of quality and customer service.
- Quality Control
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our food and service meet our high standards.
- Reporting and Budgeting
- Prepare and submit regular reports on food costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses.
- Develop and manage budgets for food, labor, and other operational expenses.
- Education
- College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as hospitality or culinary arts.
- Experience
- At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Work Environment
- Work in a fast-paced food service environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and other hazards.
