Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at BeaverTails Canada Inc. as a key member of our culinary department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Develop and implement effective methods to manage work schedules, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Quality Control
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that our menu offerings are consistently of high quality.
    • Monitor and maintain quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and submit accurate budget and cost estimates, ensuring that our financial resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required, ensuring that our management team is informed and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment or related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service and quality control.
  • Physical Demands
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and dependability.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service and quality control. The ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail is essential.
