Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Transportation Engineer to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading the planning and design of transportation infrastructure projects across the Atlantic Provinces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead feasibility studies and designs of transportation infrastructure along critical corridors in our regions, cities, and towns.
- Develop and implement plans and designs for urban transportation corridors, including accessibility features, pathways, trails, micro-mobility solutions, cycling facilities, and more.
- Manage and coordinate the work of subject matter experts and firms to provide high-quality services and innovative solutions to complex planning and design challenges.
- Represent Parsons at professional association events, design standards workshops, and conferences.
- Present award-winning projects at local, provincial, national, and international conferences.
Requirements:
- University degree in Urban Planning and/or Civil Engineering with a transportation focus.
- Professional registration as an Engineer or Professional Planner.
- 10+ years of transportation planning/engineering experience.
- Experience in leading or developing plans and/or designs for urban transportation corridors.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and writing communications and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of national, provincial, and municipal processes, policies, guidelines, and standards related to transportation planning/engineering.
