Transportation Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:
Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Lead Transportation Engineer to join our team in Halifax. As a key member of our Canada team, you will play a leadership role in advancing the growth of our practice by taking charge of transportation projects across the Atlantic Provinces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead feasibility studies and designs of transportation infrastructure along critical corridors in our regions, cities, and towns.
- Develop plans and designs for urban transportation corridors, incorporating accessibility features, pathways, trails, micro-mobility solutions, and cycling facilities.
- Manage and coordinate the work of subject matter experts and firms, working within the Parsons collaborative team environment.
- Prepare consulting team proposals and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to complex planning and design challenges.
- Represent Parsons at professional association events, design standards workshops, and conferences.
Requirements:
- University degree in Urban Planning and/or Civil Engineering with a transportation focus.
- Professional registration as an Engineer or Professional Planner.
- 10+ years of transportation planning/engineering experience.
- Experience in leading or developing plans and/or designs for urban transportation corridors.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and writing communications and stakeholder engagement skills.
