Job Title: Assistant Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team at Robin's Auto Parts Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing merchandise for resale, negotiating prices and credit terms with suppliers, and maintaining adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Purchasing: Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers, negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock levels, oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets, and review requirements of the establishment to determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in database software, planogram software, spreadsheet, and internet applications.
  • Specialization/Experience: Sales, buying, merchandise needs analysis, market analysis, negotiation, and pricing.
