**Job Summary**
Lakes District Maintenance is seeking a highly skilled Trade Supervisor Mechanic to oversee and coordinate mechanical maintenance and repair activities in a construction setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, while providing leadership and management skills to our direct employees.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise assigned work projects and/or activities involving combined resources of manpower, materials, and supplies.
- Meet production standards, quotas, and costs through organization, scheduling, and utilization of available resources.
- Communicate effectively with direct employees, particularly in work and/or job assignments.
- Deal effectively with other employees, supervisors, administrators, and/or management personnel and suppliers, regarding work projects and/or requirements.
- Conduct related supervisory functions proficiently.
**Requirements**
- Grade 12 or formal education consistent with requirements for entry into apprenticeship vocational training or equivalent.
- Completion of apprenticeship vocational training in the respective or related trade; valid Certificate of Qualification issued by the BC Ministry of Labour or the approved equivalent, for the trade in which the incumbent is employed.
- Valid BC driver's license of the appropriate class required to conduct related trade functions (Class 3 with air brake endorsement preferred).
- Some training in basic supervisory and organizational procedures training program.
- Ability to read and interpret related technical information and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the work involved.
