About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, National Distribution to lead our distribution and warehousing strategy and execution in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: As Bimbo Canada's Safety Ambassador, you will foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Standardization & Innovation: You will develop and implement standardized distribution and warehousing processes nationwide, driving improvements through process reengineering, digitalization, and emerging technologies.
  • Network Optimization: You will optimize space utilization, inventory accuracy, and productivity across the warehouse network, collaborating with Regional Logistics Managers to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
  • Lean Operations: You will continuously refine network design and cost structure, establishing and tracking KPIs to drive operational effectiveness and support logistics and sales teams with tools and insights for a best-in-class route-to-market operation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will build partnerships across teams in Canada and globally, aligning distribution strategies with company goals and serving as the main point of contact for distribution and warehousing.
  • Associate Engagement: You will foster a culture aligned with Grupo Bimbo's values, promoting diversity, equity, belonging, and associate engagement to unlock discretionary effort.
  • Leadership Team Contribution: You will provide strategic input and collaboration as a key member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team, contributing to a collaborative and results-oriented culture.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, and warehousing, with 7+ years in management.
  • Strong CPG experience, ideally in food and/or DSD environments.
  • Expertise in Canadian distribution, unionized workforces, and systems like WMS, TMS, Oracle, SAP.
  • French language skills are an asset.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
