Customer Service Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our dynamic team on a busy new residential construction site. This role offers an opportunity to work hands-on with new homeowners ensuring their homes meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit homes post-closing to assess and address any reported deficiencies.
  • Conduct repairs and touch-ups both inside and outside the home, including drywall and taping, trim work, painting, ceramic/hardwood repairs, caulking, and carpet repairs.
  • Perform inspections at various stages: 30-day, 6-month, 1-year, and 2-year, and carry out necessary work in line with these inspections.
  • Collaborate daily with the Director of Customer Service or Customer Service Representatives to review completed work and coordinate with trades for upcoming tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and respectful working environment, ensuring positive interactions with homeowners.


Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 5 years in residential construction with a strong grasp of construction principles, procedures, and technical drawings.
  • Skills: Proven hands-on experience in multiple trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.) and familiarity with various tools and equipment.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and team members.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Tools & Equipment: Must have a valid driver's license, own vehicle, and a set of basic hand and power tools.
  • Safety: Current safety certifications or a willingness to obtain them.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of the Tarion Performance Guidelines is a plus.
