Job Title: Dietary Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Turnbull Nursing Home. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional food service and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner
  • Restock refrigerators and salad bars, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand
  • Sanitize and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
  • Assist with food preparation, including portioning and wrapping foods
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for extended periods
