Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Heffermans Guest Home. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to residents, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfer, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or well-being to the care team.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Reliable transportation and a willingness to relocate for this position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
