The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our national research ethics collaboration. This key position will oversee the overall management of the project, ensuring the successful implementation of our streamlined research ethics review program.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Canada-wide research ethics review program, collaborating with researchers, research ethics boards, hospitals, universities, government organizations, and industry stakeholders.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships across all jurisdictions in Canada, demonstrating diplomacy, judgment, and leadership skills.
- Assist in developing educational content, policies, processes, training resources, and tools to support project deliverables.
- Manage a detailed project management timeline and task set, working with the team and committees to set priorities and project objectives.
- Develop and maintain the project budget, responsible for monitoring and reporting on financial performance.
- Oversee data collection required for evaluation of key metrics, synthesizing data into reports, databases, manuscripts, and presentation tools.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a health-related field or equivalent combination of education and research experience.
- A minimum of five years' relevant experience in high-level coordination of complex research projects.
- Able to travel to participate in meetings as required.
- Effective independent decision-making and judgment abilities in addressing complex and sensitive issues regarding research plans.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed within guidelines provided by the CanReview leadership team.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), highly skilled in communicating in a clear, concise, and precise manner.
- Expert MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
Salary
$85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
