Job Description

The Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic direction for financial planning across all aspects of capital and operating items at Northern Health. This involves providing financial services, including business planning, coordinating integrated reporting, financial analysis, and advice, to Executive and senior management.

Key responsibilities include coordinating and communicating budget activities to leadership, completing external reports on forecast projections, and assisting in compiling reports, analysis, and presentations for the Ministry of Health and various stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills
  • A recognized accounting designation plus five to seven years of directly related experience in healthcare or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Analytical skills to perform budget, trend, ratio, and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Knowledge and experience working with complex, computer-based budgeting systems.
  • Knowledge of Project Management practices, tools, and techniques.
