Heavy Duty Off-Road Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Off-Road Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the maintenance and repair of Canada's Leopard 2 fleet, including the Leopard 2 battle tank.
Key Responsibilities- Execute hands-on repairs, diagnostics, upgrades, and maintenance on the Leopard 2 family of vehicles, including subsystems and specialized attachments.
- Act as the technical point of contact for the project team, bridging communication between the maintenance team, military personnel, and partner organizations.
- Lead by example on the floor, directly handling and troubleshooting maintenance tasks while overseeing the technical work of the team.
- Coordinate team schedules, rotations, and oversee the quality of work, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Mentor, coach, and support team members to ensure they meet technical and safety standards, assisting with problem-solving on challenging repairs.
- Communicate ongoing progress and needs to the project team, ensuring that all work aligns with project goals and military standards.
- Complete administrative tasks, including approving time sheets and producing detailed reports for each project stage.
- Red Seal or Journeyman Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic (Off-Road), with 5+ years of hands-on technical experience.
- Proven experience leading a maintenance team (5+ team members), ideally in a high-stakes or military-related environment.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills with Off-Road vehicles, heavy machinery, or similar equipment; military vehicle repair experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and prioritization abilities, with a readiness to solve problems and ensure project objectives are met.
- Flexibility to travel within the Edmonton area and work both in workshop and field environments as needed.
- Ability to pass enhanced security and background checks.
