About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Sport Chek. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and driving sales growth in the clothing department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and increase sales revenue.
  • Manage inventory levels, merchandise displays, and visual merchandising standards to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Coach and develop sales associates on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to achieve store-wide sales goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a clothing or apparel department.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
