About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Sales Manager to join our team at Sport Chek. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and leading a high-performing team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a daily sales plan to drive sales growth and meet business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform business decisions and drive sales growth.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and lead a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze sales performance and drive business growth.
