Job Summary

Lethbridge College is seeking a highly qualified Forestry Instructor to join our team in the School of Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering courses in forest management, fire management, and grassland and forest resources, as well as contributing to curriculum development and fostering relationships with the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality instruction in forest ecology, timber operations, and silviculture
Support the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles
Assess student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards
Contribute to course and program curriculum development and renewal
Work collegially within the School, Centre or College committees and project teams

Requirements

Master of Science in a forest-related discipline (ecology, fire, etc.) or Master of Science in-progress
Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry with significant years of field experience in forest management and fire management
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills necessary to contribute positively to a team environment
