Teaching Opportunity at Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown Core

We are seeking a part-time teacher-tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown Core. As a teacher-tutor, you will work directly with students, providing guidance and support in math and science subjects, particularly chemistry and physics. Our centre is committed to helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem, and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, as well as vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology.
