French Teacher Wanted

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic French speaker to join our team as a part-time French teacher/tutor/coach at Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown-Core. As a French teacher, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem by providing personalized instruction and guidance in a small group setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach French to students of all ages and levels, from Grade 1 to 12
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies to ensure students receive high-quality instruction
  • Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • French Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 4-12 French core curriculum
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 4 to 12 level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
