About the Role

St.Amant is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Staff - Community Respite Services to join our team. As a Treatment Staff, you will play a vital role in providing residential and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program/Service Support: Provide all aspects of personal care as needed to individuals supported, including assistance with eating, bathing, personal grooming, toileting, etc.
  • Support and Encouragement: Support and encourage individuals to have new relationships, and assist them in exploring engagement in community activities.
  • Development and Implementation: Participate in the development, daily implementation, and collection of data pertaining to the Daily Activity Schedules (DAS) of individuals supported.
  • Behavioral Support: Conduct assigned assessments and implement developmental training and psychological/behavioral treatment programs to increase adaptive behavior and decrease maladaptive behavior.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide assistance, support, and encouragement to other members of the team.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Record and report relevant information related to all life areas according to Program policy and individualized needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade XII Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Certifications: Certification in CPR and Emergency First Aid, Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (an asset).
  • Experience: Minimum of two years' experience providing services to people with disabilities, with a preference for experience supporting children.
  • Skills: Ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, ability to generate ideas to improve work procedures, and superb interpersonal skills.
