Clinical Service Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Service Director to join our team at the Deer Lodge Centre. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily clinical service delivery and environmental/operational issues in the designated service area.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead a team of respiratory therapists and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to staff members.
- Maintain a partial clinical caseload, providing respiratory therapy assessments, interventions, and follow-up care to patients.
- Minimum of five years of recent, relevant respiratory therapy experience in a large complex environment.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Current registration with the Medical Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with Employer policy.
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or another field of study with a relevant major.
- Training in fiscal and human resource management preferred.
- Knowledge of integrated hospital information systems, including a Respiratory Therapy workload measurement system, would be an asset.
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods without resting.
- Must demonstrate the use of safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required.
- Ability to stand and walk and perform manual ventilation with one or both hands for prolonged periods.
- Ability to run to emergencies.
- Ability to lift heavy medical equipment, including measuring devices, monitors, and gas cylinders.
- Ability to push wheeled medical equipment.
- Ability to move gas cylinders.
- Ability to assist with the positioning of clients.
