Your Opportunity at Secure Energy:
This role involves performing various functions to ensure efficient and effective metals recycling facility operations.
This position is based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The Team:
You will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day activities, including purchasing scrap metal from public customers and industrial account holders.
Work Environment:
The schedule runs Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
A Day in This Role:
- Develop comprehensive knowledge and skills in using scrap purchasing and management software.
- Create, manage, and process scale tickets.
- Monitor trucks and customers entering and exiting the facility.
- Inspect incoming loads for non-metallics and hazardous or prohibited materials.
- Operate radios to control customer unloading operations in the yard.
- Prepare bills of lading for outgoing truck shipments.
- Interact collaboratively with the dispatcher, truck drivers, equipment operators, logistics team, supervisors, and management.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding scrap metal pricing in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Foster excellent customer service skills.
- Display exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate proven ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
- Show strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Prior administration experience is preferred.
- Be self-motivated and capable of functioning in a fast-paced team environment.
- Conduct physical tasks, such as climbing on trucks to inspect loads.
- Be willing and able to travel to other Saskatchewan locations to cover time off, sick days, training days, etc.
- Hold a valid driver's license and possess a clean driver's abstract.
- Previous metal recycling experience would be beneficial.
- Previous scale attendant experience would be advantageous.
Estimated Salary:
$45,000 - $55,000 per year (dependent on location and experience)
