Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at ROAD STAR TRUCK LINE LTD. as a Freight Transporter. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, taking care to secure cargo and prevent damage.
  • Transportation: Operate a straight or articulated truck to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling of dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver goods safely and efficiently.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, as well as work in varying weather conditions.
