Dental Assistant Position

At Transcend Specialized Dentistry, we are seeking a skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our team of specialists in prosthodontics, periodontics, and orthodontics.
The ideal candidate will have experience in restorative, surgical, or orthodontic procedures, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires adaptability, a commitment to continuous learning, and a drive to excel in a team environment dedicated to clinical excellence.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Daily review of schedule and ensuring required materials, lab cases, tools, and components are available.
- Chairside assisting during procedures with specialists.
- Setting up and turning over operatories between procedures.
- Safely handling and taking digital radiographs and CBCT scans.
- Taking digital impressions and photographs.
- Providing patients with post-operative instructions.
- Ensuring patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
Patient Coordination and Communication
- Greeting patients and conducting introductory interviews.
- Assisting specialists during consultations and patient coordination.
- Drafting clinical notes as per specialist requirements.
- Treatment coordination and case presentations to patients.
- Reviewing estimates and treatment plans with patients.
- Checking patients out and scheduling their next appointments.
- Collecting payments and deposits when applicable.
- Engaging in a professional, friendly, and personal way with patients.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
- Data intake for patient charts as needed prior to appointments.
- Assisting with inventory management of dental supplies.
- Ensuring all clinical and storage areas are clean, neat, and free from clutter and prohibited/unnecessary materials.
- Contributing to team meetings and practice improvement initiatives.
Sterilization and Maintenance
- Handling sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Conducting equipment maintenance checks and reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintaining a sterile environment through proper infection control techniques.
