Job Title: Head of HSE, Security & Emergency Response

Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of HSE, Security & Emergency Response. This position will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HSE and Security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Lead the HSE and Security teams to ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks to employees, customers, and the environment.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure prompt and effective response to emergencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HSE and Security considerations are integrated into business operations.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to employees on HSE and Security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on HSE and Security performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., HSE, Environmental Science, Business Administration).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE and Security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSE and Security policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
