Overhead Crane Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Overhead Crane Technician to join our team at Hercules SLR. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our overhead cranes and hoists.
Key Responsibilities- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Diagnose and repair equipment problems, and estimate costs of repairs and replacements.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on overhead electric cranes and their components.
- Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues, and provide recommendations.
- Complete reports on inspected items accurately and submit to administration for processing.
- Maintain paperwork and records of used inventory for billing and certification purposes.
- Pick up and deliver products to customers as required in company trucks.
- Assist in the development of efficient and effective work methods that are consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Provide input to customer quotes.
- Complete cycle counts of inventory on a periodic basis, as required.
- Perform general labor and/or maintenance work.
- Comply with company quality and safety procedures for completing work.
- Follow customer safety and quality rules when working at customer sites.
- Maintain company equipment used on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Some travel, possible work evenings and weekends as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as an Overhead Crane Technician.
- Experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting on overhead electric cranes.
- Experience with maintenance, inspection, and repairs on mobile cranes and man-lifts.
- Experience with working at heights, lifting gear inspection, wire rope examiner, and ASME/OSHA rigging fundamentals and requirements.
- Knowledge of electricity and hydraulics, capable of troubleshooting for general maintenance.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable.
- Must safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level.
- Establishes work priorities, ensures deadlines are met, and procedures are followed.
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicates with customers in a professional manner.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
