Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Garage Door Installation Assistant at Overhead Door Corporation. As a key member of our installation crew, you will assist in the service and installation of residential and commercial doors, working closely with our experienced technicians to learn the trade and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead doors, including sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed doors.
  • Work in a team environment to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate hand tools, electric tools, and ladders safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve technical skills and knowledge of door systems.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including receiving and stocking materials, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade, such as construction, welding, or millwright.
  • Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
  • Any relevant safety training and certifications, such as WHMIS, Fall Protection, and First Aid, are an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessments.
