Job Overview

UPS Canada is seeking a skilled professional to oversee dispatch operations and coordinate with others to ensure efficient execution of dispatch plans. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise dispatch operations to coordinate with others and ensure dispatch plans are executed efficiently.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs.
  • Oversee load/tractor planning and assignments, monitor load movement, and track the condition of equipment.
  • Review, analyze, and track various dispatch and service reports and schedules.
  • Review driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct hazardous materials audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
  • Willing to work flexible shift hours and on the weekends
  • Ability to multitask projects in a very fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint (quality presentations) and Excel (VLOOKUPS and pivot tables)
  • Transportation experience - Preferred
