Job Title: Transportation Logistics Supervisor

iHaul Logistics Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics of our transportation operations, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement logistics plans to prioritize tasks and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Organize and coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.
  • Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including planning, organizing, and supervising the work of production clerks, shippers and receivers, transportation route and crew schedulers, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Recruit and hire staff, train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, establish work schedules and procedures, and establish and implement policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in transportation logistics or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Windows.
