Job Title: Transportation Logistics Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Logistics Supervisor to join our team at iHaul Logistics Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics and transportation operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective logistics plans to prioritize tasks and ensure smooth operations.
  • Organize and coordinate activities with other work units or departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including planning, organizing, and reviewing work.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including production clerks, shippers and receivers, transportation route and crew schedulers, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and high-quality products.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment, and supplies, and organizing and maintaining inventory.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Windows.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 30 to 40 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
