Job Title: Regional Training Representative

Paladin Airport Security Services Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Regional Training Representative to join our team. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering on-the-job training to Screening Officers in accordance with our training program requirements and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver on-the-job training, including practical training and refresher courses, to ensure Screening Officers meet the required standards.
  • Monitor tests and assessments to ensure Screening Officers have a thorough understanding of our training program.
  • Supervise Screening Officers' participation in practical skill development sessions to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Implement training for new operating procedures and support new hire orientation training to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide recommendations on certification maintenance to ensure Screening Officers remain up-to-date with the latest training requirements.
  • Develop rapport and credibility with the Screening Officer population to increase the effectiveness of training interactions.
  • Demonstrate a positive partnership with our client to support training programs and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate refresher sessions to review SOP changes, new operational bulletins, and new screening initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on training, such as HHMD screening techniques, to enhance Screening Officers' skills and knowledge.
  • Increase screening knowledge by providing specific certification training to the Screening Officer population.
  • Deliver video briefings on the importance of the Screening Officer role and provide examples of past events related to aviation screening.
  • Facilitate other material as deemed operationally appropriate for the Screening Officer population.
  • Perform other training team tasks as assigned.
  • Travel to airports within the region to deliver training and support Screening Officers.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Adult Learning, Communications, Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Screening Officer experience in Pre-boarding Screening (PBS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in adult learning and training delivery.
  • Ability to coach, correct, and mentor Screening Officers.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Flexible to work within a 24/7 operation with changing schedules.
  • Ability to acquire Transportation Security Clearance (TSC).
  • Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) and Non-Passenger Screening (NPS) qualifications.
  • Achieved 90% on the National X-Ray Exam.
  • Achieved 90% on the PBS RLP Knowledge Exam.
  • Free from any Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) within the last year.
  • Fluency in French is considered an asset.
  • Aviation-related experience, including working with various stakeholders within the aviation industry.
  • Experience with Online Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
