Job Overview

The Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for providing leadership, motivation, direction, and support to all Housekeeping employees, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining the highest standards of room cleanliness and presentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and lead a team. You will also have a proven track record of providing coaching, training, and feedback to staff, and a commitment to ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Housekeeping staff, including Room Attendants, Housekeeping Supervisors, and other support personnel.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure that all staff are equipped to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high standards of room cleanliness and presentation.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to staff to help them improve their performance.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Front Desk, Food and Beverage, and Maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage and coordinate housekeeping operations, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and protocols, and take proactive steps to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Housekeeping or related role, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams, with a focus on developing and implementing effective training programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, guests, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on finding solutions that meet the needs of all parties involved.
