Banquet Team Lead

At Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, we are seeking a skilled Banquet Supervisor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a stunning mountain setting, providing exceptional service to our guests and contributing to the success of our events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to plan and organize events, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding expectations.
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup, decorations, audiovisual equipment, and seating arrangements.
- Train and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and event setup crew, to deliver outstanding service and quality.
- Directly supervise staff during events, ensuring high-quality service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate and address guest needs, providing exceptional service to enhance their experience.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage, with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Previous banquets experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, guests, and team members effectively.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and coordinate events simultaneously.
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues during events.
- Deep understanding of hospitality industry standards and trends.
- Valid ProServe certification.
- Experience working in various restaurant settings.
- Completion of a business or hospitality degree is preferred.
