About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Factory Maintenance Worker to join our team at Toute Sweet Cakes and Pastries Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our factory by performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing of hallways, floors, and stairs.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris, and empty trash cans and waste containers.
  • Facilities Upkeep: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Contractor Coordination: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, and perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks, and move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced factory environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding activities.
  • Physical Capabilities: Bend, crouch, and kneel regularly, and lift heavy objects.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience in a maintenance or facilities role is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
