About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Factory Maintenance Worker to join our team at Toute Sweet Cakes and Pastries Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our factory by performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing of hallways, floors, and stairs.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris, and empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Facilities Upkeep: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks, and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform minor repairs on appliances, move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Work Environment

As a Factory Maintenance Worker, you will work in a fast-paced factory setting, handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks. You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel frequently.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
