Job Description

We are recruiting casual / hourly instructors to teach administrative professional courses, including office administration, meetings and events, integrated business applications, and Microsoft Office skills' courses.

  • Courses will cover advanced spreadsheets and word processing, design, project management, and data management software.
The Role

Instructors will create learning activities and authentic assessments that encourage active learner engagement and promote career-ready skills.

  • Cultivate inclusive learning environments and engage with students about their progress and success.
  • Champion current and innovative pedagogical practices and collaborate with stakeholders to support regular instructional and program quality improvement.
  • Manage and lead a safe, positive, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.
  • Present courses, lesson plans, lectures, assignments, evaluations, examinations, and learning activities.
  • Evaluate student progress and facilitate student achievement.
  • Respond to academic integrity concerns and report as required.
  • Ensure learner accommodations are correctly applied for learners with disabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should have depth of knowledge and expertise in the administrative professional field, including office procedures and practices.

  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of industry experience.
  • Comprehensive experience in technology, including extensive skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Project, Access, SharePoint, OneNote), Adobe Acrobat, and other industry relevant software.
  • An aptitude for digital literacy.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, both written and oral, as well as well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Work well in a team environment and be able to excel in a collaborative environment.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred, experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
