Academic English Professorship Opportunity

Ambrose University is inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in English, situated within the department of Humanities.
As a key member of the team, you will deliver and strengthen the English program, offering three- and four-year Bachelor of Arts degrees. The successful applicant will typically teach a 3-3 load, including courses such as Romantics-present surveys, introduction to literature, composition, and senior electives in areas of specialization and broader interest.
The university values teaching excellence, ongoing research, and publication, participation in regular committee work at departmental and university levels, supervising senior students' independent research projects, and providing student academic advising and mentoring.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a PhD in English by the time of appointment, clear potential for excellent university teaching, capacity for success in research, and the ability to relate Christian faith and the study of literature.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory background criminal checks and academic transcripts. In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
