Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to lead our retail team at Canadian Tire 667.

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a focus on customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Assign sales workers to duties to optimize sales and customer satisfaction
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they meet company standards
  • Authorize return of merchandise to maintain a positive customer experience
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Sell merchandise to customers, promoting company products and services
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocking
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of cashiers, grocery clerks, and shelf stockers to ensure efficient operations
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail management role
  • Degree or certificate in business administration or related field (not required)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
