Job Title: Environmental Planning Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Planning Specialist to join our team at Hydro One Networks Inc. The successful candidate will provide key environmental support and contribute to necessary environmental tasks and deliverables throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide environmental planning and coordination for linear infrastructure projects
* Conduct environmental assessments and field planning and monitoring
* Develop and implement environmental mitigation plans
* Obtain environmental permits, licenses, and approvals
* Work with regulatory agencies, Indigenous communities, interest groups, and members of the public

Requirements:

* Four-year university degree in environmental studies, planning, natural sciences, or a related field
* Over six years of relevant work experience in environmental planning, coordinating, and conducting environmental assessments and field planning and monitoring
* Strong understanding of natural environment features and ecosystems
* Experience working with regulatory agencies, Indigenous communities, interest groups, and members of the public

Working Conditions:

* Project locations will vary, but with a focus within the Northeast regions of Ontario
* Full-time (7 hours a day), 5 days a week, with the exception of travel required for projects
* Travel throughout all seasons to project sites, sometimes requiring overnight stays
