About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at BIYORK MATERIALS CANADA INC.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and ensuring the general ledger is up-to-date.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals
  • Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees
  • Calculate and record fixed assets and depreciation
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements
  • Prepare tax returns and other financial reports as required
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 1-7 months of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
