Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Resilience and Migrant Worker Support Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to migrant workers in Whistler and Pemberton, working closely with employers to promote a positive workplace environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations is essential, as well as experience working with culturally-diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

- Connects with migrant workers and employers to provide orientation on Canadian workplace rights and responsibilities
- Coordinates resilience and anti-racism programing and initiatives delivered by Whistler Personnel Solutions
- Plans and delivers community dialogues and engagement activities
- Tracks statistics and reports of racism and discrimination
- Develops plans through engagement and consensus-building with affected individuals

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Self-motivation, flexibility, and ability to work independently
- Interest in building diversity, inclusion, and equity in intercultural environments
- Ability to build strong working relationships, team player, and experience working with culturally-diverse individuals
