As the Director of Quality Assurance at INNIO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products and services consistently meet the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a strategic quality plan that aligns with INNIO's global quality standards, including an annual quality management plan and QA/QC goals and KPIs.
- Spearheading improvement initiatives to ensure product compliance with engineering specifications throughout all phases of engine manufacturing, testing, and dispatch.
- Utilizing Lean Six Sigma Quality engineering principles and strong leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of first-time product quality, productivity improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring that Quality Leads, product & manufacturing engineers effectively resolve field complaints, apply necessary corrective & preventive actions within the production value stream.
- Collaborating with functional operations leaders to ensure timely resolution of product quality issues, prioritizing customer product delivery dates.
- Working in tandem with supplier quality management to safeguard the plant from inbound supplier quality issues.
- Leading ongoing quality system development and process audit activities across the business unit.
- Reporting to top management on the performance of the Quality Management System (QMS), highlighting areas for improvement.
- Acting as a liaison with external parties, representing INNIO on matters related to the quality system.
- Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, developing/implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation in the quality control process.
- Developing and maintaining the department budget for operating and capital expenditures.
- Having dotted line responsibility of the Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) organization.
We are seeking a highly qualified individual with:
- A bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, with a master's degree in a related field being a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Control, with at least half of that time leading teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 & TS/ IATF16949 quality systems.
- A Green Belt in Six Sigma and a solid understanding of Lean principles.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving & communication skills.
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused and enthusiastic approach.
- A strong customer orientation, a sense of urgency, and a growth mindset.
- Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, with the ability to motivate, inspire others, and drive change within the organization to meet team goals/objectives.
