Job Summary:

The Government of Saskatchewan seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director, Professional Practice Unit. This position plays a critical role in shaping the organization's approach to professional development and practice excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance professional practice and development across the organization.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for delivering practice-related services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address practice gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to advance the organization's practice excellence agenda.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees to enhance their professional practice and development.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience in a professional development or practice excellence role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a government or public sector organization.
  • Knowledge of professional development and practice excellence frameworks and models.
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language or have experience working with Indigenous communities.
