Senior Data Engineer with Python

We've recently launched Pi, a comprehensive fraud management system that leverages real-time decision-making capabilities. If you're passionate about working with massive datasets, optimizing for speed, and structuring messy data sets for further analysis, we'd love to hear from you.
We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer who can design and implement frameworks for real-time and batch pipelines to ingest and transform events from hundreds of applications daily. These events will be consumed by both machines and humans, and you'll work closely with our ML and Software engineers to build new and optimize existing models for fraud detection and prevention.
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for optimizing feature pipelines for fast execution, collaborating with software engineers to build event-driven microservices, and putting cutting-edge technology into production. You'll also have the freedom to experiment with new frameworks, optimize processes, and explore new technology options for data processing, storage, and sharing.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Toronto office, requiring mandatory in-office attendance Monday to Friday. You'll work closely with our Platform Engineering Team to create reusable experimental and production data pipelines and centralize the data store.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and proficiency in Spark/Scala/Python/Java. You should be passionate about producing clean, maintainable, and testable code as part of a real-time data pipeline.
