Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Python to join our team. As a key member of our Platform Engineering Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-volume data ingest and streaming platforms, such as Spark Streaming and Kafka. Your primary focus will be on creating reusable experimental and production data pipelines and centralizing the data store.

You will work closely with our ML and Software engineers to build new and optimize existing models to detect and fight new fraud patterns. Your expertise in data processing, storage, and streaming platforms will enable you to make the data available for online and offline consumption by machines and humans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-volume data ingest and streaming platforms
  • Create reusable experimental and production data pipelines
  • Centralize the data store
  • Work with ML and Software engineers to build and optimize models
  • Make data available for online and offline consumption

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Spark/Scala/Python/Java
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
  • Ability to connect different services and processes together
  • Experience with building serious data pipelines ingesting and transforming large datasets
