Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Python to join our team. As a key member of our Platform Engineering Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-volume data ingest and streaming platforms, such as Spark Streaming and Kafka. Your primary focus will be on creating reusable experimental and production data pipelines, centralizing the data store, and ensuring data integrity and availability.

You will work closely with our ML and Software engineers to build new and optimize existing models to detect and fight new fraud patterns. Your expertise in data processing, storage, and streaming platforms will be crucial in making real-time decisions and optimizing for the last millisecond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-volume data ingest and streaming platforms
  • Create reusable experimental and production data pipelines
  • Centralize the data store and ensure data integrity and availability
  • Work with ML and Software engineers to build new and optimize existing models
  • Explore new technology options for data processing, storage, and streaming

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Spark/Scala/Python/Java
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
  • Ability to connect different services and processes together
  • Experience with building serious data pipelines ingesting and transforming large datasets
