Job Summary:
The All Nations Coordinated Response Network is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intake Assessment Worker to join our team. As an Intake Assessment Worker, you will play a critical role in providing intake case services to families and children within our jurisdiction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct child protection investigations and apprehend children at risk, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Provide emergency response and crisis intervention services to families in need.
- Assess requests for service and prioritize intake activities to ensure timely and effective support.
- Develop and implement service plans to address the needs of families and children.
- Collaborate with community collaterals to provide comprehensive support services.
- Complete written reports, file recordings, and other documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a child welfare environment, with a focus on child protection and family services.
- Knowledge of substance abuse, family violence, child development, and community resources.
- Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention, child protection investigation, and assessing high-risk situations.
- Knowledge and understanding of multi-cultural issues and demonstrated skill working cross-culturally.
- Excellent organizational, computer, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage workload in a team environment.
- Fluency in French and/or an Indigenous language is an asset.
