As a key member of our engaged and high-reaching team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of OMERS Private Capital.

Our global funds and co-investment strategy develops partnerships with top-tier fund managers, providing us with additional diversification and reach into existing and emerging private equity opportunities worldwide.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead underwriting, monitoring, and management of Private Equity funds and co-investments, including coordinating and overseeing the approach to fund investments across Private Capital. As a Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Directly participating in Private Equity fund underwritings and managing several key GP/sponsor relationships
  • Contributing to portfolio management and recommending strategies to enhance portfolio construction
  • Leading in-depth market research and due diligence, critically reviewing, stress testing, and commenting on 3rd-party private market strategies
  • Leading the management and enhancement of relationships with key stakeholders, investment partners, advisors, and portfolio management teams
  • Proactively participating in operational aspects of Private Capital, suggesting and implementing efficiencies or changes in process, procedures, or structure
  • Assisting the broader Private Capital team with developing fund monitoring reports and critically assessing documentation and other communications
  • Fostering an energized, proactive, and entrepreneurial work environment

To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience in private equity funds, including sourcing, due diligence, execution, and monitoring of funds and co-investments, as well as experience in private equity secondary investing. You should also possess a thorough understanding of partnership agreements, highly competent prioritization and management of multiple workstreams, excellent ability to influence and negotiate, and strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills. A strong command of MS Office applications is also required.

Estimated salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
