Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer/Scientist/Tech Officer to join our Machine Dynamics & Component Integrity team in the Advanced Inspection & Maintenance (AIM) division. The successful candidate will provide specialist-level technical services and engineering analyses to support OPG operations in Nuclear, Hydro, and Thermal Generation business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical evaluations and advice to support the operation of power generation facilities.
  • Perform advanced finite element modeling, vibration analyses, and assessments to ensure the integrity of systems and components.
  • Lead projects and develop work plans to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with field teams to plan and execute testing and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • University bachelor's degree in engineering or Applied Science (Mechanical/Civil Discipline).
  • Candidate must be a fully licensed engineer in the province of Ontario or be eligible to be licensed in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng).
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of working experience in finite element modeling.
  • Advanced modeling skills and experience in ANSYS and/or ABAQUS software, and CAD skills in SolidWorks software.
